It
is probably going to be quite a while before Catholic men's
purity groups get started across the country. What do you do
in the meantime if you need a group?
I suggest starting a "Mini" Freedom Group. A "mini" group might
be just be one or two other men that you meet with. Use the
"10 Steps" and the "Guidelines" posted at www.dads.org to get
started. Obtain a few copies of Mark Laaser's "A L.I.F.E. Guide"
and one facilitator's guide (ordering instructions for both
at the bottom of the "10 Steps" page). http://dads.org/mens-10StepsFreedomGroups.asp http://dads.org/mens-FreedomGroupGuidelines.asp
Some men have written me asking how to find an accountability
partner. I can't do this for you. I suggest these three actions
for finding an accountability partner, or a friend with whom
to start a "Mini" Freedom Group.
A. Pray
B. Seek
C. Ask
You and other men can remain anonymous if your priest, a deacon,
or layman without a pornography problem, served as coordinator
for those interested in joining a group.
